My background is in fine art and I have always painted and drawn.
Before studying for an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University, I worked for Cambridge University Press, then looked after my two children and cat. I live near Cambridge.
Books and story making have always fascinated me, and as I felt the narrative nature of my paintings lent itself to children’s illustration decided to study this in depth.
I enjoy visually interpreting my own words and those of other’s. I have found challenges and creative rewards through developing my work within children’s book illustration, and look forward to continuing this.
